Michael Shaw

Background
Michael has always believed that the best legal solutions are those that prevent problems before they arise. This philosophy inspired him to focus his practice on estate planning after earning his Juris Doctor from Marquette University Law School in 2022.
Following law school, Michael began his legal career at a small Appleton-area firm, where he concentrated primarily on estate planning. He later spent three years practicing exclusively in the estate planning field with a large Chicago-based law firm in its Appleton office. Through these experiences, he developed a practical, client-centered approach to helping individuals and families create estate plans tailored to their unique goals and circumstances.
Michael is proud to bring his experience to Brehmer Law, where he assists clients in developing thoughtful, efficient, and cost-effective estate planning strategies designed to provide peace of mind for the future.
A lifelong resident of the Fox Valley, Michael was born and raised in Appleton and was grateful for the opportunity to return home to practice law after attending school in Milwaukee. He resides in Kimberly with his wife and son. Outside the office, Michael enjoys spending time with his family and can often be found on the golf course whenever time allows.
Brooklynn Summers

Background
Brooklynn joined the firm in May of 2026 as a Paralegal.
Brooklynn earned her degree in Paralegal Studies from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Prior to joining Brehmer Law, she worked at a private law firm for four years, where she specialized in real estate, estate planning, and probate and trust administration.
Brooklynn resides in De Pere, where she was born and raised. Outside of work she enjoys attending concerts, going for walks and spending time with friends and family.
Emma Menting
Office Manager
Background
Emma joined Brehmer Law as an Office Administrator in July 2025, supporting the De Pere branch.
She brings over a decade of client relations experience and more than a year of management expertise to the team. Emma began her professional career as a cosmetologist in the Fox Valley, where she developed a strong foundation in client care and communication. After five years in the industry, she decided to pursue a new path and joined Brehmer Law, where her passion for providing a welcoming and supportive environment continues to shine.
A Kaukauna native, Emma still resides there with her dog and two cats. In her free time, she enjoys binge-watching reality TV, attending music festivals, and spending time with family and friends.
